Congratulations to the 2023 Michigan Wolverines! This season has been tremendous. Really happy I had a chance to see a game at the Big House and the Rose Bowl this season.

This victory was a true team effort. It starts at the top.
Coach Harbaugh embodies the Michigan Man (See my eariler post). He came back
to Ann Arbor to restore the program to greatness. It has not been easy or has
gone as many anticipated. After initial success, a 10-3 season and a Citrus
Bowl win, the team struggled against rivals Ohio State and even Michigan State.
The pandemic season was the low. a 2-4 record and a cancelled game versus Ohio
State. A change was needed.
He went back to the roots of his coaching success. Enabled key assistants.
Trusted the players. Rebuilt the team. The results have been phenomenal. Three
trips to the College Football Playoff the last three years and finally this year the
National Championship. There is a PhD in organizational management in what the
team has been able to accomplish in a short time.
The last National Championship was in 1997. Late in that year, I packed
everything I owned into my Toyota Celica and headed west. I landed in Seattle,
bet on myself and have not looked back. For me, this season has been filled
with nostalgia and looking forward to the future.
Go Blue!
